ABOUT
Hi, I'm Megan. I've been a florist in Portland and surrounding area for twenty two years now. That's nuts to think about. I feel so lucky. I opened Fieldwork in 2010 after helping Sammy's Flowers expand throughout Portland, and New Seasons Markets. As their buyer and merchandiser, I bought solely from local growers and was a force behind the movement to 'support your local flower farmer'. Cut to the launch of Fieldwork eight years later - I had an endless supply of energy to spark a new wave of demand in the floral industry. I wanted to share my passion for natural beauty and abstractions, wanted farmers to be successful, and hoped to make recipients feel loved and happy. Over the years our efforts have attracted the eye of tastemakers and landed us some really interesting opportunities from teaching workshops in Mexico City to two days of foraging orange blossom on 100+ private acres in Calistoga for hanging installations. I've instructed over 300 workshops – it's hard to beat watching people learn such a therapeutic craft. Most recently I added Polly Flowers to our everyday field work. Polly is floral sales for nonprofits, and it's growing into one of the most beautiful things. Going into our fifteenth year we have huge goals but a lot of work to do and appreciate all of you who support Fieldwork's wild ways. We look forward to serving you soon.
